Photography Workshop - Barcelona Spain

A city modern wrapped in a complex and confoundedly beautiful world of art, a place of inexorable beauty with a culture of contrasts. There are no other cities in Spain that match this city's avant-garde architecture, complexities of light and shadow and the local's exhilarating way of living. During this photography workshop with world renowned photographer David Simchock, participants will experience all that this complex and engaging city can offer. For the first four days, places as diverse as Gaudi’s Park Güell, Sagrada Familia and La Pereira will be explored along with the Gothic narrow streets and lanes of old town Barcelona-Barri Gòtic. David's involved and supportive style of instruction will provide ample opportunity to hone your craft, whether you view photography as a hobby or have built a professional career with your camera. At the conclusion of the first four days of the workshop, participants will be transferred to the town of Figueres about two hours along the coastline northeast of Barcelona. Participants will enjoy time in the fascinating Teatro - Museo Dali as well as along the shop lined lanes of the town. A full day is set aside for explorations in the gorgeous seaside fishing village of Cadaqués, where a tiny collection of Greek-like sparkling white buildings line an arc of sea. Our workshop begins with four days and nights in Barcelona. Following the initial work in ’Gaudi’s City’ participants are based in the small town of Figueres, located about two hours north and east of Barcelona. This portion of the photography workshop will focus on the people and places of both Figueres, including the Dali Museum and home, and the beautiful nearby coastal town of Cadaqués.
• Small group, limited to a maximum of twelve participants. This ensures the most attentive support possible during your workshop in Barcelona, Figueres and Cadaques. Most photography workshops include up to twenty-five participants, limiting time with the professional workshop instructor.
• Bi-Lingual tour support throughout the workshop to assist participants in any way needed.
• Itinerary planning assistance in advance of the workshop, to include recommendations for air travel to/from the United States, itinerary support for time before and/or after the workshop for additional travel is participants are interested in such services.
• A full and challenging schedule. There will be some open time during the workshop, but the majority of each day will be spent with the workshop leader in capturing Barcelona and the towns of Figueres and in unique and unforgettable ways.
