Night Safari is the world’s first wildlife park for nocturnal animals and is worth visiting once by any visitor arriving in Singapore. The park is also the winner for Best Visitor Attraction Experience and that too nine times. The park is spread over an area of 40-hectares and houses more than 1000 animals from almost 115 species. There are many animals which belong to the threatened group and are being protected and reared in captivity here.
There are different varieties of animals like Malayan Tigers, Malayan Tapirs, Asian Lions, Fishing Cats, Red Dholes etc. The Night Safari in Singapore is limited not only to the animals but also extends on to hospitality too. There is a food joint in the park called the Gourmet Safari Experience where the visitors get to dine on a tram trundling through the eight geographical zones. Night Safari is a designated wildlife rescue centre and is a part of Wildlife Reserves Singapore.
Cultural performances are a regular feature at the safari, and include tribal dances, blowpipe demonstrations and fire eating displays.
